932nd Airlift Wing trains to succeed

932nd Airlift Wing members spent time on an off-UTA (Unit Training Assembly) weekend, working on improving the unit and leading people through training projects, as they moved this generator in preparation to give the plane auxiliary power on a warm day January 21, 2017, Scott Air Force Base, Ill. Embracing the future

Master Sgt. Barbara Owens, career development section chief, 932nd Force Support Squadron takes the oath of enlistment with Col. Jonathan Philebaum, commander, 932nd Airlift Wing, Jan. 20, 2017, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. A visitor stops by

Job fair held at unit

Colonel Esteban L. “Esty” Ramirez, the vice commander of the 932d Airlift Wing, thanks an employer for coming out to the recent Job and Education Fair held inside the 932nd AW headquarters building at Scott Air Force Base, Ill. Companies and colleges set up tables and gave out information to unit members to help them consider future options January 7, 2017. The wing flies the C-40C aircraft and is the premier distinguished visitor airlift operation in the Air Force Reserve Command. With over 1,000 members, the wing equips trains and organizes a ready force of Citizen Airmen to support and maintain all facets of air base operations involving infrastructure and security. Medical training is step by step process

Airmen of the 932nd Airlift Wing helped each other train during the January Unit Training Assembly. Basic life saving skills (BLS) were taught methodically, step by step, with instructors watching during annual Emergency Medical Technician training, inside the 932nd Medical Group. This included proper procedures for patient assessment and trauma treatment in a special class held January 7, 2017, at Scott Air Force Base, Ill. Coley was an instructor for Airman Leader School for five years and used both her knowledge from teaching but also as an Air Force recruiter to help 932nd Airman write more professionally crafted EPRs. "As recruiters we want to continue to invest in our people that are in the unit and not just focus on new recruits," said Coley. Watchful eye from above

Watching you, watching me, watching the wing at work? The 932nd Airlift Wing was watched over January 3, 2016, by an extra set of eyes, as the unit reopened after the New Years federal holiday. This North American opossum decided to climb the tree next to the 932nd flag pole, very near the sidewalk to the headquarters building. Once up there, he couldn't quite seem to decide how to come back down, much like a cat stuck in a tree. Some people walking past thought he was dead, but he was only pretending, and moved his head slightly when spoken to.
