Lt COLONEL AMY S. JOHANNSEN

Lt Colonel Johannsen is an Aircraft Maintenance Manager of four C-40Cs and approximately 220 personnel for the 932nd Maintenance Group and the 932nd Airlift Wing located at Scott AFB, Illinois as an Air Reserve Technician. 

Lt Col Johannsen is a life-long Reservist/Guardsman with 34 years enlisted and officer experience. She has served from the Gulf War, Coronet Oaks and many operations up to today’s Global War on Terrorism. She delayed enlisted active duty August 1986 as an Aerospace Ground Equipment mechanic. After four years, she left Active duty and joined the Air Force Reserves at O’Hare IAP, IL with the same Air Force Specialty Code in 1991. In 1996, following a BRAC of O’Hare IAP, she then transferred to Peoria ANG, IL before coming back to the Air Force Reserves at Youngstown ARS, OH. 

Through the Deserving Airmen Program, she was commissioned in February 2002 at the Academy of Military Science at McGhee-Tyson ANGB, TN. She was the Executive Officer for the 910th Maintenance Group as a Cyber Operations Officer, 33S3 and cross-trained as a Maintenance Officer, 21A, in 2009. Lt Col Johannsen has served in several billets from MOF Commander, AMU OIC, MXS and AMXS Commander and as a Deputy Commander at several locations and model design series aircraft. Lt Col Johannsen entered the Air Reserve Technician program at Niagara Falls ARB, New York from Grissom ARS, Indiana. Her most recent assignment was with the 442nd Maintenance Group, Whiteman AFB, Missouri as the Deputy Commander of 535 personnel and 27 A-10 aircraft.
