The 932nd Airlift Wing, located at Scott Air Force Base, Ill., flies the newer C-40C aircraft. The only C-40C flying wing in Illinois, the unit is subordinate to 22nd Air Force, under Air Force Reserve Command.
932nd Airlift Wing
The mission of the 932nd Airlift Wing, Air Force Reserve, assigned as a tenant unit at Scott Air Force Base, Ill., is providing unrivaled, mission-ready citizen Airmen.
The wing also provides worldwide medical services to the warfighter from the front line to Continental United States fixed medical treatment facilities. Reservists at the 932nd Airlift Wing come from 37 states. (Note: The wing retired its last C-9C aircraft in September, 2011)
