Johnson and team educate students on maintenance and flight

As part of a community outreach event, the 932nd Airlift Wing Maintenance Group's top officer and commander, Col. Family Readiness makes season brighter for 932nd Airlift Wing

A variety of toys, cookies, and candy are ready to be distributed through the 932nd Airlift Wing Family Readiness Office, led by Deb Teague. Son witnesses final flight for vice commander

Colonel Esteban “Esty” Ramirez, the outgoing vice commander of the 932d Airlift Wing, sits in the cockpit with his son Nic Esteban, following his last C-40 flight at the 932nd Airlift Wing, Nov. 4, 2018, at Scott Air Force Base, Ill. He will be transferring to the U.S Transportation Command shortly. During his time with the Illinois unit, Col. Esteban served at various times in roles as both the wing commander and the vice commander. A 932nd Airlift Wing C-40C aircraft retracts tires and takes off on a training flight Oct 13, 2018, at Scott Air Force Base, Ill. The plane lifted off at a 15 degree angle at approximately 140 miles per hour before banking to the right. The unit is responsible for maintaining and flying four of the distinguished visitor airlift planes for missions worldwide. The 932nd Airlift Wing is a 22nd Air Force unit, based in southern Illinois near the towns of Belleville, Mascoutah, and Shiloh. The 932nd Airlift Wing is the only reserve unit flying this unique mission under Air Force Reserve Command. Other major areas supporting the reserve unit are the 932nd Mission Support Group, the 932nd Medical Group, the 932nd Maintenance Group and the 932nd Operations Group. Boss Day welcomes employers

Senior Master Sgt. Todd Wadkins, 932nd Maintenance Group, walks away from the unit's C-40 as he welcomes his employer and other civilian bosses at the 2018 "Boss Day" held October 13, 2018 at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. Wadkins has helped the public affairs shop with multiple Boss Day projects, both in his previous job with safety, and now maintenance. Reservists are reminded there are two ways they can recognize a civilian supervisor or employer for their positive support of the reservist's military service: 1) The Patriot Award – This award recognizes supervisors and bosses nominated by a Guardsman or Reservist employee for support provided directly to the nominator.
