Airman Spotlight: Staff Sergeant Ameera McCray

932nd AW: What inspired, or who inspired you to join the Air Force Reserve? What is your job here at the 932nd AW and a short description?  Any specific reasons why you wanted your current job? 

AM: My current AFSC is Flight Attendant. Our mission is to provide DV airlift. We travel all around the world and get to cook gourmet meals for our passengers during our flights. 

932nd AW: Do you have a family legacy of the military/Air Force/ Air Force Reserve and was that an influence on joining the Air Force Reserve? 

AM: My uncles were prior military but my influence to join was a classmate in college. She shared her experiences in the Army Reserves and I was instantly inspired to join.

932nd AW: What is your Favorite Part of your job? 

AM: My favorite part of being a flight attendant is traveling to different countries and cooking amazing meals on the jet.

932nd AW: Does your job relate to your civilian life and job? 

AM: I cook and bake at both my military job (Flight Attendant) and in my civilian life.

932nd AW: What are some of your personal or Air Force Career goals? 

AM: I plan to finish my bachelor’s degree and open my own bakery.

932nd AW: Where do you see yourself in the next few years? 

AM: In the next few years I plan on making rank and becoming a Flight Attendant Instructor.

932nd AW: What do you look forward to with your time here at the  932nd AW, travel or work opportunities? 

AM: I look forward to being more involved with the wing.
