Airman spotlight with Airman First Class Jeremy Zirkelbach, crew chief with the 932nd Airlift Wing Maintenance Squadron.

1. What is your full job title and short description of your duties?

Aerospace Maintenance Crew Chief and I am mainly responsible for ensuring aircraft care which includes daily maintenance, identifying malfunctions, replacing parts, conducting inspections, maintaining records and coordinating aircraft care.

2. Why the Air Force and/or Air Force Reserve?

My dad was in the Air force for Aerospace Maintenance from 84 to 88, and wanted to follow in his footsteps. I also wanted a good career to support and supply for my future family.

3. Do you have family in the Air Force or other military branch?

My grandpa and dad were in the Air Force and some cousins that were in the Navy.

4. What would you like to do or see in the next few years within your career or with the AF Reserve?

I want to get into the ART program and/or commission as an officer here at Scott AFB in Aerospace Maintenance and visit other Air Force Bases, especially Seymour Johnson in Goldsboro NC where my dad was stationed and I was born.

5. What is one of your fondest memories since joining the 932nd AW?

My fondest memory so far was probably basic, because it defiantly was an experience that I will never experience again.

Thank you Airman First Class Zirkelbach for sharing your Airman Story.
