932nd Airlift Wing reminds members that holiday fitness continues and special events close out the year Published Dec. 10, 2013 By 932nd Airlift Wing SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. -- 932nd Airlift Wing reminds you to stay fit all year long, and even more so if possible, during the 12 Days of Holiday Fitness. Although fitness is a continuous process the wing promotes every month, the Fitness Center welcomes all base personnel to participate in a special free 12 Days of Holiday Fitness Challenge. Participants must complete 12 workouts anytime between now and Dec. 17 (not including weekends). Random drawings for awards will be held at both the Fitness Center and James Sports Center for challenge participants (must be present to win). The event is open to all Active Duty, 932nd Airlift Wing Air Force Reservists, Air National Guard, Retirees, DoD Civilians and dependents. For more information, see the Fitness Center. Library Holiday Party Join the Library staff at the Library Auditorium on Thursday Dec. 5 beginning at 6:30 p.m. for a Holiday Party featuring the Starlifter Band, holiday sing-a-longs, prize giveaways and more. Secret Santa Workshop - Dec. 11 & 18 Create gifts for your family and friends at the Youth Center's Secret Santa Workshop! DMV at the Scott Club Need to renew your license plate stickers, but can't make it to the DMV? Catch the Illinois Department of Motor Vehicles mobile unit at the Scott Club every 3rd Wednesday of the month from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This DMV mobile unit offers basic vehicle services, such as driver license renewals (including road tests), ID cards and vehicle registration. The next date the mobile unit is scheduled to appear is Dec. 18. Come Watch a FREE Movie with your children on Wednesday, Dec. 18! Kids of all ages, especially homeschoolers and their families, can watch a free movie at the Library Auditorium (formerly the Base Theater) on Wednesday, Dec. 18 at 1 p.m. Bring your own snacks and enjoy the day with a good movie! Rock-N-Bowl New Year's Eve Family Fun Time Bowl Help us celebrate our Rock-N-Bowl New Year's Eve Family Time Bowl at the Stars & Strikes Bowling Center on Dec. 31 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m., 2:30-5:30 p.m. or 6-9 p.m. Cost is $48 per family and includes three hours of bowling, rental shoes, family appetizer tray and unlimited soda.
