SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. -- Scott Air Force Base will be hosting its annual Retiree Appreciation Day, November 23, 2024, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Scott Event Center. The Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. to allow time for attendees to register and enjoy free coffee and refreshments.
The event is open to all military retirees, immediate family members and surviving spouses from all branches.
There will more than 20 informational booths covering a wide array of services available for retirees. Some of them include ID card appointment scheduling, Military and Family Readiness Center help, Scott Pass registration (must have valid ID) among many more.
Colonel John Poole, who took command of the 375th Air Mobility Wing in July 2023, will give a speech to open the event.

8:30 a.m. - Info Booths Open to Public
9:00 a.m. - Registration
9:30 a.m. - Official Presentation, including posting of colors, national anthem, Wing/CC Remarks, Service Recognition, Guest Speaker Col (Ret.) Laurel "Buff" Burkel, and more.
10:45 a.m. - Info Booths continue to be open after presentations
12:00 p.m. - Event Concludes
