U.S. Congresswoman (R-IL) Mary Miller along with members of her staff, William Wadsworth, Deputy Chief of Staff, and Patrick Farrell, District Director, met with Col. Rick Chadwick, 932nd Airlift Wing commander, Chief Master Sgt. Christian Biancur, 932nd AW command chief, and 932nd AW group representatives during Miller’s first visit to Scott Air Force Base and the 932nd AW, Aug. 28, 2023.

During a 932nd AW mission briefing, Miller was given the overall mission capabilities of the only Air Force Reserve Command distinguished visitor airlift wing and discussed the 932nd’s community impact on the region’s economy.  Miller also had the pleasure of meeting six superior performers from the various Wing Groups and hearing about their contributions to the mission.

Following the briefing, Miller and her staff were given a tour of one of four C-40C aircraft owned and maintained by the 932nd AW.  Miller gained invaluable knowledge from a pilot, a flight attendant, and a flying crew chief about the vital roles they play in supporting worldwide airlift operations.

“I had the honor of visiting the 932nd Airlift Wing at Scott Air Force Base this week,” said Miller. “I appreciated the opportunity to learn more about the Wing and its importance to the Air Force's mission, and the local community in Illinois.”

Congresswoman Miller gave her personal thanks to Chadwick, Biancur, and the men and women of the 932nd Wing for hosting her visit.

“My constituents and I are deeply grateful for your service to our country,” added Miller.
