The 375th Air Mobility Wing conducted a fuel spill exercise on Scott Air Force Base, Aug. 11th, 2023. The exercise managed a mock 20,000-gallon fuel spill to help put the response teams from various units under the 375th AMW to the test.

In response, the team deployed scores of Airmen and staged emergency vehicles at the scene of the incident while blocking off roads to protect locals. Between bioenvironmental testing the fuel toxicity and flammability, and the 375th CES practicing using berms of dirt to prevent further contamination of waterways, countless agencies played a part in the exercise.

These types of exercises are monitored by the 375th AMW Inspector General team, who specialize in assessing the overall readiness, economy, efficiency, and state of discipline across the Air Force.

Through conducting various exercises, the 375th AMW showcases its commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, security, and operational efficiency, bolstering its overall readiness and resilience.
