SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. -- 932d Family,
Veterans Day is set aside to give pause and honor the service of our nation’s veterans. From Valley Forge to the Pacific, from Kuwait to Kandahar and from Europe to Iraq, our veterans have carried the burdens of America's wars and as a result our nation has always emerged standing tall. Their service is recognized and celebrated around the globe as liberators of oppression and defenders of freedom. Veterans in our own wing have spent countless days away from family, and some, like our own Tech. Sgt. Anthony Campbell Jr., gave their last full measure so that we may remain a free nation today.
Within the 932d Airlift Wing, our veterans have deployed around the world, in some cases within hours, anywhere needed. As our own Airmen continue to train and maximize their own readiness posture, they also provide a living vignette to America that its sons and daughters are still answering the call to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States and all are deserving of the highest tribute a nation can offer.
In the midst of this pandemic, let’s all take the time to personally thank a veteran, past and present, with a phone call, a written note, text, or email…we are standing on their shoulders and we forever owe them our gratitude.
To the men and women of the 932d Airlift Wing, my sincere thanks for your service and sacrifice. You represent the best our nation has to offer and I am humbled and in awe of all you do!
I’m proud to serve alongside each of you.
Respectfully,
GLENN COLLINS, Colonel, USAF
Commander, 932d Airlift Wing
