SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. -- Leadership at all levels of the Air Force have encouraged, insisted on, figuring out ways to connect with our airmen. That connectedness forms the strength that bind us together as a team to achieve mission effectiveness and to ensure we are looking out for one another as wingmen. It’s more than resiliency, it’s family. Our operational pause was not so much about the game of dodgeball, as much fun as that was, but rather to dedicate time and energy to developing that connectedness we need to ensure a healthy force. Our efforts to develop our bonds of “wingmanship” won’t stop with February’s “pause” but will continue throughout the coming months and, hopefully, years.
