SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. -- Members of Team Scott joined forces Oct. 8, 2019 inside Hangar 1 to showcase military opportunities and careers to nearly 400 high school students from 11 schools across Missouri and Illinois during JROTC Day, here.
On display was one of four C-40C aircraft from the 932nd Airlift Wing.
A crew of two pilots and one executive flight attendant from the 54th Airlift Squadron, the active duty counterpart for the Air Force Reserve 932nd Airlift Wing and 73rd Airlift Squadron, were on hand to answer questions and give a tour of the aircraft.
The Air Force Reserve C-40C is a premiere distinguished visitor airlift aircraft that supports global missions. The 932nd Airlift Wing flies four of the planes.
JROTC Day helps with military recruitment efforts but also provides an opportunity for local JROTC cadets and high school students a chance to get to know their U.S. Armed Forces and connect in meaningful and educational ways.
