Col. James T. Patterson is the new 932nd Medical Group commander.

He assumed command from Col. Roger Wujek who is retiring this year. Previously, Colonel Patterson had been commander of the 932nd Aeromedical Staging Squadron (ASTS).

Colonel Patterson said he's been given a second chance to realize a dream.
"I wanted to be a career Marine as a young man. Things happened and
service to my country would come later."

He praised the 932nd Medical Group for their record of accomplishments and issued
a new challenge.

"We're the best in Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC); I want us to be the best medical group in the Air Force."

Colonel Wujek has been part of the 932nd Medical Group for 20 years. He is also
a former 932nd ASTS commander, and he deployed with the squadron during Operation Desert Storm.

Many memories linger.

As he prepares to retire shortly, he praised the 932nd reservists for their commitment and being Citizen Airmen.

"It has been my priviledge and honor to serve with each of you. I'm taking fabulous 932nd memories with me. You are all patriots."
