Medical Airman receives COVID-19 vaccine
Senior Airman Warren McKeithen, 932nd Airlift Wing Medical Squadron health services administrator, receives a COVID-19 vaccine shot from Capt. Jessica Walser, a 932nd MDS critical care air transport nurse, at the 375th Medical Group Clinic, Scott Air Force Base, Ill., on Feb. 9, 2021. The vaccines were recently approved by the Food and Drug Administration under an emergency use authorization, and are currently offered to DoD personnel on a voluntary basis. They are distributed using the Department of Defense’s phased approach. McKeithen noted, "if medical gets called out to assist with someone that's COVID positive the shot definitely helps protect us in the long run." McKeithen handles a multitude of duties including orders and readiness related areas for his fellow Citizen Airmen in the Air Force Reserve medical unit. (U.S. Air Force photo by Lt. Col.
