Maintenance checks plane to launch C-40C aircraft

Master Sgt. Patrick Alvarado, 932nd Maintenance Squadron dedicated crew chief for aircraft tail number 0730, gives the "good to go" thumbs up sign as he checks a C-40C plane on March 14, 2019 at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. The 932nd Airlift Wing's Maintenance Group (MXG), is responsible for leading people who are training and equipping to inspect, maintain and repair Air Force Reserve Command's C-40C planes at Scott Air Force Base. The 932nd MXG's attention to detail before and after flights enables the 932nd Operations Group's C-40C pilots to fly distinguished visitor (DV) airlift around the world, anywhere they are needed by the nation's leaders. The reservists at the Illinois unit, part of 22nd Air Force under Air Force Reserve Command, fly four of the C-40C planes worldwide. (U.S. Air Force photo by Lt. Col. Stan Paregien)
