Col. Mattox leads the way

Medical readiness and training prepare for future

Ready to assemble

Leaders stand by for the next field movement in Illinois. The 932nd Airlift Wing's Medical Group met out on the Scott Air Force Base parade field recently for a group photo and review of uniforms. The 932nd Airlift Wing salutes our military members who serve the nation under 22nd Air Force, as part of the Air Force Reserve Command. The 932nd Airlift Wing has four groups and Lt. Col. Robert Thompson, is part of the 932nd Medical Group and the 932nd Medical Squadron. He is also the Medical Director for Safety for RallyWorld Challenge (racing in North America and Canada). Transporting patients through the woods creates challenge

Air Force Reserve Command members of the 932nd Airlift Wing's 932nd Medical Group, including emergency management technicians (EMT), came together to overcome transportation challenges carrying simulated patients on litters through outdoor obstacles. The basic life saving skills refresher was designed to get experience loading an ambulatory bus out near the Scott Lake wooded area where some of the training occurred. Lending a helping hand

Making an impression medically and taking care of the unit

Airman First Class Kristen Cannon, a medical technician at the 932nd Medical Group, Aeromedical Staging Squadron, spent an extra weekend working on special projects to assist her Illinois Air Force Reserve Command unit getting ready for the next drill weekend coming up in April. "In addition to the medical training, I've really enjoyed learning about and helping others get proper recognition through the awards and decorations program at the wing. Weekends are very busy and every Sunday afternoon we also do skills training to stay up to date medically.
