ASTS watches over patient
Aeromedical Staging Squadron (ASTS) Airmen take care of the patient as a team using the "tilt chin" technique. The wing had a chance to tell our readiness story to community leaders recently. Various self aid, buddy care, and chemical protection classes were held February 7, 2017, at the 932nd Airlift Wing. The Air Force Reserve Command members in Illinois kept up to date on their current medical skills, preparing for any situation. A special guest visitor to the Illinois unit, one of the wing's honorary commanders, was the Mayor of Troy, Mr. Allen Adomite (on floor playing the part of the patient). He interacted with 932nd Airlift Wing Airmen like Lt. Col. Edward Hubbell, at left, who was administering simulated first aid, and the instructor Capt. Suzanne Blaylock, kneeling, watched over both during the second part of an extensive two day course held at Scott Air Force Base, Ill. (U.S. Air Force photo by Lt. Col. Stan Paregien)
