This is the final approach

The final team farewell for a longtime 932nd Airlift Wing member was given in the form of a plaque of appreciation, as Senior Master Sgt. Karen Garland, approached the front of the room and said her last retirement goodbyes to well wishers recently. New commander is aboard

Col. Karl Goerke is the new commander of the 932nd Airlift Wing. Prior to taking his new leadership role, Colonel Goerke was commander of the 932nd Operations Group. The 932nd Airlift Wing, an Air Force Reserve flying unit, is located at Scott Air Force Base, Ill. The assumption of command took place on Sept 14, 2014.
