Saving lives through blood donations

A Red Cross worker prepares the arm of First Lieutenant Elizabeth Wszalek for a blood donation while the 932nd Airlift Wing commander, Col. Karl Goerke, offers encouragement to his executive officer. Many members of the wing and other base agencies came to the Air Force Reserve Command's Illinois unit to donate. Each blood donation is highly important and is used down the line to save three lives. (U.S. Air Force photo/Maj. Stan Paregien)
