932nd MDG takes care of people while executing mission
Chaplain (Lt. Col.) William Thornton plays the part of a "patient" and is attended to by Lt. Col. James Stenger of the Medical Squadron. Members of the 932nd Airlift Wing participated in a patient movement exercise at Scott Air Force Base, Ill. earlier in the summer. During the exercise, medical teams from the 932nd Medical Squadron and 932nd Aeromedical Staging Squadron worked in a simulated deployed environment to safely transport patients from the hospital to a staging area before loading them onto a C-130 Hercules aircraft. The training exercise emphasized the breadth of skills necessary to deploy and operate an Expeditionary Medical Support Basic facility and a 50-bed En Route Patient Staging System.
