WINTER STORM UPDATE FOR FRIDAY, DEC 1st:

Most roads immediately surrounding the base have been cleaned up, but due to other regional areas affected by ice and snow, the Friday Pre-UTA Staff Meeting has now been canceled.

Additonally, one hour late reporting has been authorized for those still planning to attend the Unit Training Assembly on Saturday, 2 December.

What happened? The sleet started early Thursday afternoon in Saint Louis and continued over to Illinois and the 932nd Airlift Wing. Adverse weather affected a large area of the St. Louis region around Scott Air Force Base. Some businesses and people are without power.

EDITOR'S NOTE: Due to potentially dangerous road conditions in various regions that members commute from, the commander has authorized a liberal reschedule or excused absence policy for the Unit Training Assembly this Saturday and Sunday (December 2-3).

If you do not plan on making the December Unit Training Assembly this weekend,, please call and cancel your lodging immediately. As a reminder, the number for the lodging system is 1-877-875-9886.

Your safety is our main concern.
