  • Members of the 932nd Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron recently accomplished training in the air by heading southeast to Nashville, Tenn. Airlift was provided courtesy of a C-130 from the 908th Airlift Wing at Maxwell, Ala. The purpose was to help them get additional training in their skill areas and to show civilian first responders some techniques that were used during Hurricane Katrina relief, which many of the Reservists were involved in. Approximately 100 responders met out at the Nashville airport with the AES coordinators to see and feel the action. Many of the civilians took their turns lifting litters to understand how heavy they actually are, and to see how long it might take to load and unload an aircraft like the C-130. "It was great because we could share our experiences, so in the future we can all function as a team to assist the public in a time of need," said MSgt. Shane Cayson, aeromedical technician.
