Legacy and leadership noted during farewell
Senior Master Sgt. William Bassett retired from the 932nd Airlift Wing in a ceremony held August 4, 2019 at Scott Air Force Base, Ill. He was presented the American flag which he presented to his family, He took a few moments to thank everyone, looked at a list of all the generals he's served under, and touched on the legacy of the 932nd Airlift Wing that he's been a part of since 2005. "Always dream big, and always be a good mentor. It means something. There are so many friends you meet along the way, but they have no idea how much they impacted your life, and you can impact someone's life too," Bassett said. (U.S. Air Force photo by Lt. Col.
