Rolling out to launch mission
The Air Force Reserve's C-40C aircraft makes a wide ride turn to taxi out to the ramp under the watchful eye of a 932nd crew chief on March 14, 2019 at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. Maintainers are consistently receiving and launching aircraft during the week and on drill weekends. The 932nd Airlift Wing's Maintenance Group (MXG), is responsible for leading people who train and equip to inspect, maintain and repair Air Force Reserve Command C-40C planes at Scott Air Force Base. The 932nd MXG's management of resources improves the wing's professionalism and enables the 932nd Operations Group's C-40C pilots to fly distinguished visitor (DV) airlift around the world, anywhere they are needed by the nation's leaders. The Illinois unit, which is part of 22nd Air Force, under Air Force Reserve Command, flies four of the C-40C planes worldwide. (U.S. Air Force photo by Lt. Col. Stan Paregien)
