Maintenance and Operations Groups work together to launch C-40C aircraft on blustery day

A 932nd Maintenance Group maintainer prepares to give the command for a C-40C crew to start engines March 14, 2019 at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. It was a windy day as blustery gusts started drying out the standing rain on the ramp, still there from the overnight thunderstorms. The 932nd Airlift Wing's Maintenance Group (MXG), is responsible for leading people who are constantly training and equipping to inspect, maintain and repair Air Force Reserve Command's C-40C planes at Scott Air Force Base. The 932nd MXG's management of resources improves the wing's professionalism and enables the 932nd Operations Group's C-40C pilots to fly distinguished visitor (DV) airlift around the world, anywhere they are needed by the nation's leaders.
