Maintenance checks the plane before next flight

At right, a 932nd Airlift Wing C-40C aircraft slowly taxis past another waiting C40 as it comes back from a training flight July 6, 2018. Meanwhile a maintainer walks the line at Scott Air Force Base, Ill. The 932nd Maintenance Group is responsible for maintaining four of the distinguished visitor airlift planes for worldwide service. The 932nd Airlift Wing is a 22nd Air Force unit, based in southern Illinois near the towns of Belleville, Mascoutah, and Shiloh. The 932nd Airlift Wing is the only reserve unit flying this unique mission under Air Force Reserve Command. Other major areas supporting the reserve unit are the 932nd Mission Support Group, 932nd Medical Group and the 932nd Operations Group. Citizen Airmen come from more than 30 states during 932nd Unit Training Assembly (UTA) weekends to be part of the team (U.S. Air Force photo by Lt. Col. Stan Paregien)
