Honorary commanders try out meals ready to eat (MRE)
Honorary commanders representing communities around the Scott Air Force Base area came out to interact with 932nd Airlift Wing leadership on Nov. 29, 2017. Honorary commanders are civic leaders matched up to various wing and group commanders at the base units. They serve that role throughout the year, representing various towns around the Scott Air Force Base area. Several 932nd Honorary Commanders came out to interact with base and 932nd Airlift Wing leadership recently. Pictured here at center is the 932nd Mission Support Group Interim Commander, Lt. Col. Wayne Johnson, who helped the visitors with cooking tips discussions as his MSG honorary commander at left, Paul Evans, of Evans Law Firm, listens to ideas. At far right, John Marquart, representing the Village of Shiloh, checks out the "Menu #4, with spaghetti" MRE or Meal Ready to Eat. The visit included a briefing of base functions and a bus ride to the simulated deployment line with additional presentations and an MRE lunch competition. (U.S. Air Force photo by Lt. Col.
