Chapel support team focuses on caring

Chaplain (Lt. Col.) William Thornton shares a smile with fellow chaplain (Capt.) Mike Williams, at the 932nd Airlift Wing headquarters, during a recent 932nd AW Unit Training Assembly at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. The 932nd AW chaplains and chaplain assistants, referred to as Religious Support Teams (RST), have the privilege of focusing on caring for unit members and their families throughout the deployment cycle and beyond. Unit visits and personal engagements are a part of this warrior care. "The 932nd AW Religious Support Teams provide proactive pastoral care as well as religious accommodations that meet diverse spiritual needs, in order to foster the spiritual pillar of Comprehensive Airman Fitness within the Wing," said Chaplain (Lt. Col.) William Thornton. (U.S. Air Force photo by Lt. Col. Stan Paregien)
