Civil engineering readiness tested
Lt. Col. Julie Novy, 932nd Airlift Wing Interim Director of Inspector General-Inspections (IGI), makes post-activity inspection notes as she notes how the 932nd Civil Engineering Squadron responded to a simulated event. Checking the "SIP Shelter in Place" book and checklist is 1st Lt. Kelsey Smith, who led her team through a sheltering in place scenario near the wing headquarters building, Oct. 16, 2017, at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. Novy and Senior Master Sgt. Wayne Cantwell (the 932nd Inspector General Inspections NCOIC), met with safety and Wing Inspection Team (WIT) members early in the morning, and made the rounds throughout the wing facilities to watch inspection events unfold. Each wing inspection team member watched out for safety issues to help the Illinois wing improve and communicate vertically and laterally. (U.S. Air Force photo by Lt. Col. Stan Paregien)
