Planning and UEI readiness checked
At far right, Lt. Col. Julie Novy, 932nd Airlift Wing Interim Director of Inspector General-Inspections (IGI), leads the way out of the headquarters building with her inspection notes in hand, as she observes other unit members responding to a simulated event on Oct. 16, 2017, at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. Novy met with safety and Wing Inspection Team (WIT) members early in the morning to plan, and made the rounds throughout the wing facilities watching inspection events unfold and then grading reactions to simulated situations. This was part of a thorough inspection of the wing’s ability to carry out its mission culminating in a capstone visit by Air Force Reserve Command’s Inspector General. The Unit Effectiveness Inspection is a continual evaluation of performance throughout the inspection period. (U.S. Air Force photo by Lt. Col. Stan Paregien)
