Out to the sky zones
At right a C-40C planes prepares to taxi out for a mission while another sits ready Oct. 11, 2017, at Scott Air Force Base, Ill. The 932nd Airlift Wing members keep these planes ready to fly at all times. The 932nd Maintenance Group takes care of inspecting and fixing any issues before and after flights while the 932nd Operations Group provides pilots and flight attendants to run the mission in flight. The 22nd Air Force unit is the only flying wing in the Air Force Reserve Command with the DV (Distinguished Visitor) mission, utilizing four of the unique C-40C aircraft to move the nation's leaders safely and securely worldwide.
