Ready to cross into the blue

Holding the "blue line" steady in two places is the next challenge for an enlistee who contacted the wing. Here, 932nd Recruiting Squadron Line Recruiter, Tech. Sgt. Brittany Paus, witnessed Chief of Public Affairs, Lt. Col Stan Paregien, administering the oath of enlistment for the newest Airman joining the 932nd Airlift Wing on July 31, 2017, at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. Andrew Blandford is a police officer in Illinois, who became interested in the explosive ordnance speciality within the Air Force Reserve after talking to his childhood friend, Airman 1st. Class Mathew Brummel, with the 932nd Airlift Wing's Operations Group. They have been friends since kindergarten and Brummel recently spoke about his family connections and motivation to join the reserve and the importance of staying close to family while serving America. Blandford's line recruiter who took care of coordination and paperwork to get him lined up with EOD is Tech. Sgt. Brittany Paus. To help others interested in joining the 932nd Airlift Wing, the toll free number is 1-800-257-1212, for more information. (U.S. Air Force photo by Christopher Parr)
