Taking care of her patients
At right, Staff Sgt. Anisa Thomas, from the Health Service Management career field, and currently the 932nd Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron Ground Training Noncommissioned Officer in Charge, smiles as she prepares to help escort her "simulated patients" up the extended ramp of a waiting C-17 aircraft. She made sure the wounded and walking ambulatory members were safely brought aboard, once they were given the all clear on July 29, 2017, at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. The C-17 was provided by the 452nd Air Mobility Wing out of March Air Reserve Base, California. The 452d Air Mobility Wing is an Air Reserve Component of the United States Air Force. It is assigned to the Fourth Air Force, Air Force Reserve Command and If mobilized, the wing is gained by the Air Mobility Command. This provided an opportunity for the Illinois reservists to fly and train in the air, just like they would do during a deployment. (U.S. Air Force photo by Lt. Col. Stan Paregien)
