Firefighters take on smoke
932nd Airlift Wing firefighters trained on intense core special skills particular to their unique jobs on May 21, 2017, at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. In preparation, several firefighters lit pallets on fire (in background) to heat up the room, while others began searching for a simulated patient. These 932nd Civil Engineering Squadron members had already checked the hose system to ensure proper water pressure and availability of the resource in case it was needed to help put out a fire. Approximately 32 members of the 932nd Civil Engineering Squadron suited up with oxygen tanks to take their turns and get the hot, dark, challenging experience. (U.S. Air Force photo by Lt. Col.
