Civil Engineers demonstrate tools of their trade

Making a positive community impression, Lt. Col. Peter Weilbach, commander of the 932nd Civil Engineering Squadron, spoke to civilian bosses about his unit during a simulation drilling session. 932nd Airlift Wing engineering staff welcomed employers of 932nd Airlift Wing members to the "Boss Day" event on November 5, 2016 at Scott Air Force Base, Ill. They received a first-hand look at not only real world fire fighting, electrical, and medical issues, but also the varied missions of the rest of the 932nd Airlift Wing during Boss Day. Among other things, they were treated to a security dog demonstration, a trip to the control tower, civil engineers, fire fighting, as well as lunch on board one of the unit planes. Employers heard briefings from public affairs, the 932nd Airlift Wing top enlisted and officer leaders, historian, safety office representative, and learned what the flying mission is about. Bosses also had the opportunity to tour the weather center. When leaving at the end of the day, the civilian bosses said they were thrilled by the mission and the expertise of the men and women of the 932nd Airlift Wing. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech Sgt.
