Winter rears up again in the Midwest and 932nd Airlift Wing
Yes, we had 60 degrees last week, but it's still winter, and the 932nd Airlift Wing commander's parking spot is surrounded by snow on Wednesday, 20 January, as the big winter front swept through Illinois overnight, bringing some ice and mostly snow and causing traffic snarls around the area. Air Force Reserve Command members are reminded to check the weather line at Scott Air Force Base by calling 618-256-7232. (U.S. Air Force photo/Maj. Stan Paregien) As a reminder, the normal plan for HOW INFORMATION WILL BE RELEASED IS: Information about inclement weather base operating procedures will be released through: -- the official Scott AFB public website -- www.scott.af.mil -- the Straight Talk Line at 256-SAFB (7232) -- the Scott AFB Facebook page (which has a direct link off of www.scott.af.mil) --and the MyMC2 mobile app -- base-wide emails (for early release only). The Team Scott community is highly encouraged to check these sources first and of course the local television stations. Be safe on the roads in your local area!
