Executing the mission: The 932nd Airlift Wing's Maintenance Group (MXG), is responsible for leading people who are always training and equipping to inspect, maintain and repair Air Force Reserve Command C-40C planes at Scott Air Force Base. The 932nd MXG's management of resources improves the wing's professionalism and enables the 932nd Operations Group's C-40C aircraft to fly distinguished visitor (DV) airlift around the world, anywhere they are needed by the nation's leaders. A 932nd Airlift Wing C-40C aircraft takes off on a training flight Jan. 9, 2018, at Scott Air Force Base, Ill. The unit is responsible for maintaining and flying four of the distinguished visitor airlift planes worldwide. The 932nd Airlift Wing is a 22nd Air Force unit, based in southern Illinois near the towns of Belleville, Mascoutah, and Shiloh. The 932nd Airlift Wing is the only reserve unit flying this unique mission under Air Force Reserve Command. Other major areas supporting the reserve unit are the 932nd Mission Support Group, 932nd Medical Group and the 932nd Maintenance Group.
