The early years: 932nd Airlift Wing's retiring command chief
Command Chief Master Sgt. Merle Lyman (far left in white shirt) stands with fellow maintenance members early in his career. He recently retired from the 932nd Airlift Wing, an Air Force Reserve Command unit at Scott Air Force Base. "To all who have ever worn the uniform of the U.S. military, I sincerely thank you for your service. To those who have influenced my career, I thank you for helping me along the way. To the men and women of the 932nd Airlift Wing, I thank you for allowing me to serve as your Command Chief; you have all touched my life in a way that could never be expressed in words," he said in parting.
