During a special four-day unit training assembly event, various members from the medical and aeromedical fields of expertise gathered at the 932nd Airlift Wing to practice. They spent time together discussing plans and working the triage process to prioritize the most serious patients and get them to emergency help first. Always ready: The 932nd Airlift Wing's Medical Group

During a special four-day unit training assembly event, various members from the medical and aeromedical fields of expertise gathered at the 932nd Airlift Wing to practice. Airmen of the 932nd Airlift Wing helped each other adjust techniques during a Unit Training Assembly, as they refreshed CPR skills. The letters CPR stand for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, and when a person stops breathing, or perhaps their heart stops beating effectively, this lifesaving technique is used to restore oxygenated blood flow to the vital organs quickly. Basic life saving skills (BLS) were taught methodically, step by step, with 932nd AW instructors watching during Emergency Medical Technician training, inside the 932nd Medical Group. This included proper procedures for patient assessment and trauma treatment in a special class held recently at Scott Air Force Base, Ill.
