Tech. Sgt. Jacob Spencer shows the challenge coin recently given to him by the 932nd Command Chief, Chief Master Sgt. Chad Welch for his superior academic achievement while attending the chaplain assistant tech school. Spencer earned a 91 percent and the Air Education and Training Command Commander's Award. Spencer said his favorite memory while at school was visiting with vets and hearing their stories. It helped him be prepared for his new career as a chaplain assistant, he said. The 932nd Airlift Wing chaplains hosted the "Four Chaplains" commemoration service which highlighted the selfless contributions made by the four chaplains during World War II. "He was always smiling. That's how I think about Chaplain Turner. Remembering our retirees from the 932nd Airlift Wing gives us bittersweet memories . Those who stay in touch are a lifteline to the past and support for the future.
