Outstanding Medical award goes to 932nd MDS

The winner of the Outstanding Medical Squadron without a Generation Mission is the 932nd Medical Squadron from Scott Air Force Base, Ill. Members gathered to receive the award during an AMSUS banquet in downtown Saint Louis. Their former commander, Brig. Gen. Dan Gillen, center, was among those who congratulated them. Their outstanding accomplishments in support of Operations Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom and Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa sent unit members on deployments around the globe to help others. Seven members assigned to three critical care air transport teams flew a total of 67 missions, logged 532 flying hours and transported 162 critically wounded patients. Wing personnel were also noted for their volunteerism with flood relief, hurricanes and programs for the underprivileged. (U.S. Air Force photo/Maj. Stan Paregien)
