Bronze Star to EOD NCO

Senior Master Sgt. Ryan D. Nichols, an Explosive Ordinace Disposal superintendent. withh the 932nd Civil Engineering Squadron, was awarded the Bronze Star, Air Force Combat Action Medal and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for his exceptional service while deployed to Afghanistan. Maj. Gen. Eric W. Crabtree, commander of 4th Air Force, presented the medals to Sergeant Nichols during ceremonies at the base theateer. The 932nd Airlift Wing is an Air Force Reserve Command unit based at Scott. The 932nd is the sole flying Air Force Reserve unit in Illinois. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Dan Oliver)
