Ribbon cutting held for combined operations building

Officials cut the ribbon and opened up the 932nd Airlift Wing's combined operations facility at Scott Air Force Base this week, where members of the active duty and Reserve will work together. Cutting the red ribbon from left are: Michael Miralles, United States Army Corps of Engineers; the 375th Air Mobility Wing commander, Col. Michael Hornitschek; Illinois Congressman Jerry Costello; the 932nd Airlift Wing commander, Col. William Edwards, Jr.; Denise Breunig, Woolpert Incorporated; and Jared Zipprich, K & S Associates. The new two-story facility, at a size of over 52,000 square feet, will hold approximately 190 occupants. The space includes conference rooms, training rooms, warehouse, locker rooms, break rooms, storage and additional spaces.
