Firefighters take the heat
Firefighters from the 932nd Civil Engineering Squadron, prepare to go aboard the C-9C to conduct egress training. Firefighters entered the aircraft in full gear and put out a simulated fire inside the passenger cabin. The exercise included using two P-23 crash trucks, a tanker and rescue crew. Master Sgt. James Sandbothe, assistant chief of firefighting operations, said proficiency training is held at least twice a year. The 932nd Airlift Wing is the only Air Force Reserve unit that flies the C-9C.
