AES runners enjoy taking time for memorials

Master Sgt. Chad Welch and Staff Sgt. Karen Ridge, 932nd Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron, stand in front of a memorial to the fall of the Berlin Wall following a Memorial Run/Walk.The memorial run/walk was in remembrance of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks. “It wasn’t a race; it was simply a time to reflect and remember the events of that day, as well as those who gave their lives,” said Ridge. A piece of the World Trade Center was dedicated during the ceremony following the run. “It was very moving and powerful.” (Courtesy photo)
