Father, daughter join Air Force Reserve

Antonio Petty and his daughter, Shaquan, have enlisted in the Air Force Reserve. Once Mr. Petty signed the parental approval form for Shaquan, who is 17, he became intrigued with joining the military. Tech. Sgt. Joseph Morrow, 932nd AW recruiter, told Mr. Petty he would have to meet fitness standards to become eligible. Mr. Petty, who is 44 years old, worked out and dieted for several months, losing 38 pounds in the process and was able to enlist. Mr. Petty previously served eight years on active duty with the U.S. Army. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Dan Oliver)
