Citizen Airman Spotlight
Tech. Sgt. Sopheap Chan is a traditional reservist assigned to the 932nd Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron. As an aeromedical evacuation journeyman, Chan is part of a team that prepares, loads and cares for patients during flight on a variety of military aircraft. He has been in the Air Force Reserve for nearly ten years and enjoys the challenges and rewards that is aeromedical evacuation. Like many reservists, Chan balances family life and a civilian career as well. He is employed as a chemical engineer for a St. Louis-based research and development firm. Off-duty, Chan is training to compete in the St. Louis Rock'n'Roll Marathon held on Oct. 21. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Dan Oliver)
