A true blue bikemeister

Maj. Bob Atkins pedals his customized racing bike around Scott Air Force Base, preparing for the 5150 Triathalon held June 29 in Innsbrook, Mo. The event features amateur and professional divisions. Atkins trains nearly every day and competes in about ten triathalons a year. Atkins said he enjoyes the physical and mental challenges triathalons offer. A stand-out cyclist, Atkins previously was a member of the Air Force Cycling team. Atkins is chief of exercise evaluations at the 932nd Airlift Wing. The 932nd AW is an Air Force Reserve unit that flies the C-40C. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Dan Oliver)
