From public affairs shop to new historian
Master Sgt. Gerald Sonnenberg is the new 932nd Airlift Wing historian, coming over from many years in the public affairs shop. The historian has documented the history of the entire wing since it began in 1962 as the 932nd Troop Carrier Group. He is responsible for keeping track of all major programs including change of command ceremonies, unit awards, exercises, deployments, and other significant events of the 932nd AW. He gains this mixture of information from external sources and public affairs reporting, but mainly from the members of the units in the wing. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Amber Hodges)
